Slot Machine Oup: Has a number representing a room number and may be empty or occupied according to the room status. If the room is empty, the slot machine OUP may display a label or card indicating the room type and bedding. If the room is occupied, the slot machine OUP contains a slip or card containing guest information.When a room is occupied or assigned in advance (for example, a prepaid or guaranteed reservation), a rack slip is inserted in the room slot machine OUP, accompanied by the reservation data or guest folio. When a room is vacant, but is not yet available to occupy, a room status tag is inserted in the rack slot machine OUP. The room status tag contains a code or description indicating the current condition of the roomout of order, dirty, and so forth (see Figure 7-2). In the stall method cows are maintained in individual areas, usually with stanchion arrangements. Here, durŽing inclement weather, they are rested, fed, watered, and possibly milked. In the loose-housing procedure, the cows are free to move about in either open or closed type structures. In the latter type of accommodations, a sepaŽrate milking shed or milking parlor must be provided. Such a structure is also preferable to stall milking; in some instances local health codes require separate milking facilities regardless of the housing. An adjacent milk room should be available for the straining, cooling, and storing of the milk until delivery to the plant. The room may also serve for the cleaning and storing of utensils and the milking slot machine housing.The importance of housing to Latin American countries is shown by the fact that the Pan American Union has maintained a Division of Housing and Planning since 1945, and in 1951 established the Inter-American Housing Center in Bogota for the purpose of training specialists in housing from the various countries.
